About the Congregation

Congregation Keshet Yam: Rainbow by the Sea was launched with High Holiday Services in September of 2004. The congregation is intended to serve the needs of unaffiliated, interfaith and gay and lesbian populations. The Reconstructionist activities are always geared toward creating community among Jews who may otherwise lack strong connections with the Jewish people. Reconstructionist services are egalitarian and welcoming of all religious affiliations and respecting all human differences.

Tickets for all activities are reasonable allowing individuals, couples and families to experience the solemnity and joy of Judaism without making the kind of financial commitment synagogue membership requires.

We hope that you will join us for activities during our 6th year. In past years we held activities for the High Holidays, Hanukkah, and Shabbat Across America. Recently we have also added periodic Shabbat dinners and an Interfaith Passover Seder. Welcome aboard!
